The email is not required for using Pastegasm at all.
It's just needed if you ever have to recover your account
in case you forget your password. If you have concerns
about entering your real email, we suggest using something
like 10 minute email services.
What is the level for?
The level is a "joke" feature that stayed in the
development cycle. It's just meant to be an idle-clicker.
However, now it allows you to cycle through the HSL wheel.
You can stop when you have a color that you like. This color
is used in some pages of Pastegasm, like your account page,
the main page, the search page. Other users will be able to
see your "level color" when they view your account.

Pastes
How many pastes can I upload a day?
You can upload up to 30 pastes a day as a regular
user, and 60 as a pro user.
What is the maximum paste size?
The maximum paste body size is 1 MB as a regular
user, and 5 MB as a pro user.
What do you mean my paste's password may not work on urls?
This warning is issued if you use special url characters on your password.
Depending on what the end-user's browser is programmed to do, the server may
not get the actual password because it might have been "escaped".
You can still use it as a password, but you may not be able to give it as a
"full url".
Why colons and hyphens cannot be used on tags?
Because colons are used to denote meta-tags and hyphens (at the start) denote
negative tags. You can still use hyphens as long as they are not at the start.
How to tag?
Tagging is made by adding, well, tags to describe a paste. You can write a tag
as a word as is, but multiple words have to be encased in brackets "[]",
[like this]. You can ask in our Discord server if you have specific questions
about tagging. Bad tagging is punished by the Tag Police.
What counts as a view?
Once our server delivers a paste, it checks if the current session has viewed a paste.
If not, it adds it to the count. As simple as that! Don't worry too much about views,
it's just feature sugar.
Tags
Mandatory tags
To "warn" users about sensitive content, some tags have to be placed explicitly
if they apply. Please note that the following tags are mandatory: {TAGS}. Do not forget to
add them to your paste if it applies!
Meta Tags
Meta tags are special tags that can modify the results of a search.
Negative Tags
Tags can have a hyphen in front to specify that they are negative tags. These tags will remove any
paste that has them in a search. Use this to remove content you do not wish to see.
Tag Police
The Tag Police is an organization that strives to ensure all Pastegasm pastes are properly
tagged. Other jobs it has are: Adding new features related to tags, removing "useless"
tags, and discussing about what tags mean.
