Account Docs

• Registering and Logging In •

You can register a new account with the register page.
You can log in with the login page.

Notes about registering:

  • If you wish to, you can use a temporary email. You only need it if you forget your password.

• Recovering Account •

To recover your account, you need to go to the login page and select the "Forgot Password?" button. A popup will appear, asking you to place your username. After that, press the "Recover" button. An email will be sent to your email, with a link to recover your account.

Notes about recovering:

  • You need a confirmed email for this feature.

• Level •

Every account starts at level one, and can level up by going to their account page and pressing the level button. Yes, really. It means absolutely nothing. It is only used to change the color of your account. This color can be seen on your level, and in other pages as a background decoration.

Your account's level color will loop around the HSL wheel. It starts at 60 hue, and 200 levels are equivalent to 60 hue. This means that the hue function is:
hue(lvl) = (lvl * 60 / 200 + 60) % 360

• Description •

Your account's description acts exactly like a paste body, and can be formatted as such. You can write whatever you want on it, with the same restrictions as a paste, but with the flexibility that you can self-promote yourself in great amounts.

Notes about description:

  • Submitting pastes with nothing but details about your work is allowed. E.g. archives, commision notes, etc. is allowed. However, as a purely ethical note, please set the visibility as "unlisted".

• Visibility •

If your work is mainly focused on adult content, please enable the adult content switch. This will warn users when they enter your account page. It also enables you to view adult content without the popups.

The mentioned switch is located in your account settings page.

• Public ID •

Since you can change your username in Pastegasm, you can let your followers have a permanent link to your account using your "Public ID". This ID lets users go to your account, regardless of your current username.
