Pastes (Submissions) Docs

• What is a Paste •

No one knows. The most common, accepted definition is that is some form of text. Pastegasm started from Pastebin as an example, so there goes the name. However, we have moved from the idea of simple "pastes" to fully formatted written works.

But the name is catchy... "Paste-gasm"... wow...

• Submission Rules •

In short, we want:
 • No spam.
 • No gibberish.
 • No content without artistic value.
 • No unrelated content.
 • No illegal content.
But we DO want, and DO appreciate:
 • Great writing.
 • Good storytelling.
 • Amazing scripts.
 • Kinky fantasies.
 • Responsable writers.

(Please be mindful that this is not a replacement for the ToS).

• Paste Elements •

A paste is composed of many elements, of which are:

 • The paste title
Defines the main name of your paste. It can be up to 300 characters long and it may not be empty.

 • The paste description
Appears as an introduction to your paste for potential writers. It has a maximum length of 700 characters and it may be left empty.

 • The paste body
This is where your written work is contained. For regular users, it can be at most 1 MB, and at most 5 MB for pro users.

Here is a visual representation of how much is one MB of text

 • The paste tags
Used to describe your paste. Please make sure your paste is properly tagged so users can find it! If someone comes looking for a specific topic, they will try to find your paste by its tags. Otherwise, you risk the change of being detained by the Tag Police!

 • The paste visibility
The paste visibility controls how users can see your paste. It has three components: the mode, the password, and the rating. The mode can be:
 • Public - Everyone can see your paste, either by link or by searching it on Pastegasm.
 • Password Protected - Everyone can see your paste, but will require to place the password. Users will be able to find it by searching, but even then they will need the password. Because of that, we recommend that you specify some way of getting the password in the description, as it will remain visible.
 • Unlisted - Everyone can see your paste, but they can only access it using the link. It will not be displayed if searched.
 • Private - Only you can see the paste. Everyone else will see a message that says the paste is private.

The password is only required if the mode is "Password Protected". The password can be placed when asked or, additionally, it can be placed in the url. If your paste ID is "abcd1234", and your password is "loremipsum", then the url you should give if you do not want your readers to be asked the password is pastegasm.com/p/abcd1234$loremipsum. Please note that after the regular link, there is a dollar sign and then the password.

Finally, the rating is either "safe for work" or "not safe for work". NSFW content is labeled "Adult Content", and there is a toggle switch on it. Please mark pastes with adult content as such. If not, it can get deleted without warning.
