It’s been a bit since you (listener) and your Neko girlfriend (VA) went out and did something. You came home from work and were told to get ready for a semi surprise date night. But she’s been secretive about what you are doing and where – not to mention its REALLY late. Most stores are closed, most restaurants are closed, most of the city is locked up for the night. Where exactly could she be taking you? Only one way to find out!

That’s the fourth brightest star in the sky. If I remember correctly...it’s...the orange giant Arcturus! That constellation is called “Boötes” – which is Greek word meaning 'herdsman' or 'plowman'. Where Arcturus is in correlation to the constellation, it’s roughly the waist area of the herdsman. Pretty cool huh?!

<Cutely to Informative> Anyway~... Like I was saying – that cluster around Alphard? That’s “Hydra”. Much like “Leo”, “Hydra” is also from the Twelve Labours of Heracles. Hydra is the biggest constellation that is seen from Earth, containing a staggering total of 283 stars and occupying over 3% of the night sky. We came out so late because it takes Hydra nearly seven hours to fully rise into view. It goes from that little cluster and heads all the way towards the east, like a big snake.
